•GloProfessional: tapped Jerald Wenker as chief executive of-ficer. He is responsible for all aspects of the gloProfessional business. Most recently, Wenker was president and chief operating
officer at Dermalogica, where he led the sales and marketing process in executing the June 2015 sale of the company to Unilever.
During his time at Dermalogica, Wenker launched a global
e-commerce platform, introduced Dermalogica to specialty retail
channels, most notably Ulta Beauty, and increased the brand’s
orientation to a more consumer-centric strategy, globally building upon the brand’s professional skin therapist legacy.
•SMA Collaboratives: welcomed Art Vallejo to its sales team
as a technical sales manager. In addition to his five years of sales
experience, he has held various formulation jobs and brings solid
technical knowledge to SMA and its customers. Vallejo is also trilingual (English, Spanish and Portuguese).
The company is also entering the Latin American market and
appointed Sol Garcia as its sales manager/Latin America. Garcia
is a technically trained formulator and had years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical and personal care industry.
•Innospec Personal Care: welcomed Duane Krzysik to its technical team. He joins the company as silicones technical manager,
personal care, North America, and will play a leading role in silicone formulation activities to support the growth of the Chemsil
Silicones business, acquired in 2013 by Innospec. Krzysik joins
Innospec with more than 35 years of customer and market knowledge in personal care formulations and applications and will continue to help build Innospec’s global personal care businesses.
•Koda Distribution Group (KDG): named Tim Dooling as new
president of Koda Care vertical (comprised of De Wolf Chemical,
Glenn Corporation and GMZ Care). He replaces Hank De Wolf,
who will retire at the end of 2015.
Dooling has more than 22 years of experience in the chemicals industry. He has held several key management roles both at
Callahan Chemical Company and Sun Chemical. His responsibilities ranged from sales manager and branch manager to vice
president of sales and executive vice president. Most recently, he
was president of Callahan Chemical.
Dooling is a member of NACD, the Chemical Club of New
England and the SCC.
•L’Oréal France: named Hervé Navellou as general manager. To
leverage the strategic opportunities offered by the French beauty
market, it has been decided to strengthen the governance of the
group’s activities in France by creating a general management
structure for L’Oréal in France headed by Navellou, president of
the Western Europe zone for the consumer products division.
The L’Oréal France general management team will supervise
the shared services for all different entities as well as the coun-
try management committee comprising the general managers
of the four divisions in France and the cor-
porate functions. As a part of his new posi-
tion as general manager of L’Oréal France,
Navellou will also take on the role of gen-
eral manager of the consumer products di-
vision in France.
Navellou joined L’Oréal in 1986 and
spent most of his career with the consumer
products division. He was appointed brand
general manager in Belgium and Germany,
and later director of the Latin America zone, and then general
manager of the Asia zone. In 2008, Navellou was appointed
country manager in Mexico. In 2010, he took over as general
manager of the consumer products division in France, and after
three years, he joined the Western Europe zone as president.

GALLAGHEr TO RETIRE FROM CRODA
•After a 37-year career with Croda, Kevin Gallagher, president,
global personal care and actives, has announced his retirement from
Croda at the end of 2015. He is extremely proud of his career in
Croda, and at having been an important part of the global leadership
team that created “the most successful personal care ingredients
business.”
He started as an applications chemist in 1978, and held positions
in R&D, Qa, sales and marketing before moving into general man-
agement in 1989. Gallagher is co-inventor on seven patents held by
Croda that all resulted in successful commercial products, and has
been a leader in fostering innovation at Croda.
while much of Gallagher’s career has been in personal care, he’s
been grateful to Croda for the opportunity to make contributions to
other industries. He has chaired Croda’s personal care steering group
from its inception in 2004, and became the first president of Croda’s
global personal care and actives business, when the group structure
was changed in 2014.
He has been president of Croda North america from 1999 to
present, and has served on the executive committee of Croda
international Plc. from 2007.
Gallagher plans to do consulting work for Croda and other clients and remains a non-executive board director for P2 science, a
start-up company specializing in value-added fragrance components
made through novel ozonolysis techniques.
