tion with skin care brand Peter Thomas Roth. Fusion developed packaging for the Camu Camu Power C X 30 Brightening
Moisturizer. The package utilizes a double-walled airless jar to
protect the sensitive vitamin C in the formulation—Amazonian
berry, camu camu—said to contain 30 times more vitamin C than
The brand opted for an airless jar, which uses an actuator
to push product to the surface instead of a traditional jar that
requires consumers to use their fingers or a spatula to get the
product out. This unique package type eliminates cross-contam-ination with the added airless benefits of product preservation
and improved evacuation rates, according to Fusion.
The 15ml jar has shelf appeal with a silver UV metallized
and silk-screened overcap and the double-walled effect provides
a luxurious look in a unique orange shade, said the company.

Ileos Acquires Aphena Health and Beauty
•Packaging supplier Ileos recently acquired Aphena Health
and Beauty, a division of Aphena Pharma Solutions in the US.
Aphena Health & Beauty is a division of Aphena Pharma
Solutions Holdings, which specializes in turnkey development
and manufacturing of sampling vehicles for the color cosmetics
and fragrance industries. The company has 60 employees and is
located in Whippany, NJ. Aphena is expected to post a turnover
of approximately $13 million in 2013.
Ileos, which has 18 manufacturing locations in Europe, the
US, Brazil and China, had sales of $520 million in 2013.

•Procter & Gamble named Diamond Packaging an “External
Business Partner of the Year” during P&G’s annual External
Business Partner Recognition Dinner. Nearly 80 top suppliers and
agencies attended the annual event.
Diamond was one of only 15 suppliers from P&G’s more
than 82,000 suppliers and agencies to receive the highest honor
