TWO NATIONAL CEP COURSES
PLANNED IN DECEMBER
• On Dec. 8, SCC will host a continuing education program
(CEP) course on clinical and instrumental testing of skin and skin
care products. The course focuses on non-invasive testing of human skin in vivo. Modern methods for testing the effects of skin
care products will be discussed. The major emphasis will be on
instrumental measurements of skin function. The course is intended to teach cosmetic scientists how the latest noninvasive
methods for studying product effects on human skin in vivo can
be used for research guidance and cosmetic claim support.
Also in December, SCC has planned a CEP course on fragrance in personal care. This Dec. 14 event at the national office
in New York will cover the sense of smell, the history of perfume,
fragrance creation and duplication, aroma chemicals and reactions, fragrance applications in personal care and household
products, fragrance regulations, natural and sustainable fragrance, aromatherapy and aromascience.
