Berjé is a family-owned company that has been in operation for
over six decades. The company’s origins and strengths lie in a profound understanding of the supply and quality of the diverse raw
materials consumed by the flavor and fragrance industries. This

We Are Your World-Wide Warehouse
We leverage a worldwide network of producers to ensure uninterrupted supply in markets that are often volatile and unpredictable. Rapid supply is achieved both in the United States and
to a vibrant and growing export market that now reaches in excess of 60 countries. Our export division accounts for greater than
thirty percent of our business and includes Africa, Europe, South
America, Asia and Australia. Our company headquarters, raw
materials repository and manufacturing operation are located in
central New Jersey with satellite warehousing in the Midwestern
United States and Los Angeles. We are poised to move quickly
wherever you are.
An Uncommon Inventory
Berjé enjoys an international reputation as a reliable source not only
for mainstream products, but also for the obscure raw materials
that often provide the unique twist required by perfumers and fla-vorists in the endless search for novel effects. This position allows
us to offer a diverse palette of products at competitive pricing.
In 2003 Berjé Trakia was formed in Plovdiv Bulgaria for the manufacture and sourcing of natural essential oils from this important producing area. We have successfully completed our ninth
year of Rose and Lavender Oil productions.
In 2009, the Whole Herb Company of Sonoma, CA joined the
Berjé family of companies, adding an extraordinary new chapter
to Berjé’s expanding story. This strategic partnership allows ex-
isting and prospective customers of both companies to access the
finest herbs, spices, botanicals, nutraceuticals, and essential oils
on the market.
Berjé’s manufacturing capabilities include blending, filtering, decolorizing, fragrance compounding, and custom formulation. Our
network of contract manufacturers for distillation and reaction
chemistry is well established.
Berjé has established unique relationships with a number of companies whose proprietary offerings have allowed us to expand our
range of products and services and include several truly innovative raw materials and product lines. Our work in mints has been
enhanced by a working partnership with F.D. Copeland UK- a
worldwide leader in mint processing. An arrangement with
Miltitz in Germany gives us access to a wider range of distillation
and reaction chemistry and offers several fine flavor and fragrance
materials to the American market. And most recently, we have
become the sole U.S. distributer of the exclusive Synarome line
from Nactis- a French leader in specialty chemicals since 1926.
Berjé maintains within its Bloomfield facility arguably one of the
largest inventories of raw materials within the United States.
This strong inventory position allows for efficient raw material
supply and fragrance compounding turn around time, accommodating our customer’s just-in-time inventory requirements.
Over 3000 aromatic chemicals and virtually every commercially
viable essential oil are stocked.
Both service and quality are obsessions at Berjé. All inbound
raw materials are subjected to extensive quality control, where
not only physical variables are monitored, but also composition
is evaluated by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.
With our many additional in-house quality assurance tools, as
refractive index, specific gravity, optical rotation, flash points,
head space analysis and a variety of wet analysis capabilities,
we make every attempt to identify anomalies that would affect
our customers’products. Specific issues may arise that require
outside technical services such as but not limited to carbon dating or biological testing. Berjé has an established network of
facilities capable of completing such tasks.
Our full service includes packaging options, dedicated inventories, technical support, regulatory guidance, and much more. We
also have our organic certification in place for this growing segment of our industry. We invite you to learn more about who we
are, what we offer and why there is simply no smarter choice or
better partner anywhere in this business.
