bacteria, including C. xerosis and Micrococcus species, relevant to
the control of underarm odor. It improves deodorant stick clarity and
leaves skin smelling fresh and clean. Optimum clarity requires filling
product into containers while well above its solidification temperature
so the product does not start to set while being poured. APPEAR-

PROCEDURE: Disperse Carbopol Ultrez Polymer by sprinkling on
the surface of deionized water. After polymer is wetted, mix slowly
at low speed. Slowly add the propylene glycol and ethanol with gentle mixing. Allow as much air to escape as possible before proceeding. Add the SilSense Copolyol-1 Silicone with gentle mixing. Add
the triisopropanolamine with gentle sweeping motion to minimize air
entrapment. Mix until uniform. Add dye or fragrance if desired. The
following water-soluble emollients are also recommended for use in
this application. Use levels from 0.3-0.5% addition will have little
effect on the final clarity. Use of a non-water-soluble emollient will
result in an opaque formulation: Glucam E- 20 (Lubrizol Advanced
Materials)(Methyl gluceth- 20) or Glucam E- 10 (Lubrizol Advanced
Materials) (Methyl Gluceth- 10). For more information, request TDS-
